Peter Harrington is a Fellow with the CID's Building State Capabilities program, working on the BSC projects in Sri Lanka and Albania to facilitate government delivery and institutional reform. Peter has almost a decade of experience advising government in the UK and in developing countries on delivery mechanisms, policy and strategic communications. He has worked with governments across Africa, and spent three years in Liberia with the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative, in the Office of President Sirleaf and leading AGI's support for Liberia's oil sector. He founded the Liberia Marathon, and returned to Liberia in 2014 to advise the government on its response to the Ebola epidemic. Peter specializes in energy and infrastructure, and spends part of his time consulting on renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the private sector. Peter studied Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics, and he takes a particular interest in the narratives, cultures and norms that shape the non-technical aspects of development and institutional change. He holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School as a UK-US Fulbright Scholar.
